Ja fa més de dos anys que La Bonne es va sumar programa d’art i patrimoni Contested Desires (CDCD), una proposta liderada per D6 (Regne Unit), conjuntament amb ECCOM (Itàlia), Xarkis Festival (Xipre), LAC (Portugal) i Fresh Milk (Barbados) que ofereix una oportunitat internacional única perquè vint-i-dos artistes participin en un programa finançat de residències, exposicions, tallers i seminaris d’intercanvi de coneixements amb l’ànim d’explorar a través de les arts visuals com l’herència cultural del colonialisme ha influït en la comprensió de les cultures contemporànies europees.
Kia Redman, Nicola Singh i Sara Baga van ser les tres residents que, durant el mes de febrer, van crear tres peces audiovisuals que aviat podreu veure al hall de La Bonne.
Abans, però, acollim el Capacity Building, un esdeveniment sobre gènere i passat colonial que tindrà lloc el 3 i 4 de juliol i comptarà amb la presència de les entitats i artistes que formen part del CDCD, en el que projectarem la pel·lícula ‘Dahomey’ de Mati Diop (2024, guanyador de l’Os d’Or en el Festival de Berlín i candidata a l’Óscar, sobre colonialisme a Àfrica. Després de la projecció, gaudirem d’un col·loqui entre la cineasta Adriana Fuertes (guanyadora del Premi Joves Creadores 2024 i resident de la Bonne) i l’artista visual Gloria Oyarzábal, moderada por Salima Jirari, consultora especialitzada en diversitat, igualtat i inclusió al sector audiovisual.

For over two years now, La Bonne has been a part of the Contested Desires (CDCD) art and heritage programme, a proposal led by D6 (United Kingdom), together with ECCOM (Italy), Xarkis Festival (Cyprus), LAC (Portugal) and Fresh Milk (Barbados) that offers a unique international opportunity for twenty-two artists to participate in a funded programme of residencies, exhibitions, workshops and knowledge exchange seminars with the aim of exploring through the visual arts how the cultural legacy of colonialism has influenced the understanding of contemporary European cultures.
Kia Redman, Nicola Singh and Sara Baga were the three residents who, during the month of February, created three audiovisual pieces that you will soon be able to see in the hall of La Bonne.
Before that, we will host Capacity Building, an event on gender and the colonial past that will take place on July 3 and 4 and will feature the presence of the entities and artists that are part of the CDCD, in which we will screen the film ‘Dahomey’ by Mati Diop (2024, winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and candidate for the Oscar, about colonialism in Africa. After the screening, we will enjoy a discussion between filmmaker Adriana Fuertes (winner of the 2024 Premi Joves Creadore and La Bonne resident) and visual artist Gloria Oyarzábal, moderated by Salima Jirari, a consultant specializing in diversity, equality and inclusion in the audiovisual sector.
